This is the second poster in a series of two commissioned by the Vallauris Potters Association. Picasso created the posters on different dates, intending to evoke a sense of multiplicity in forms through his drawings. The colors are consistent, and in both posters, the artist features a pottery piece as the motif, complemented by handwritten text.
